In 1931, family entrepreneur Alois Kober took over a locksmith’s shop in the Bavarian-Swabian town of Kötz and laid the foundation stone for the AL-KO GROUP with AL-KO Vehicle Technology. 1961 marks the beginning of the company’s international expansion. 1966 AL-KO Gardentech starts with the production of lawn mowers. 1975 The AL-KO Air Technology division is founded.
2016 saw the strategic realignment of the Group: under CEO Stefan Kober and Supervisory Board Chairman Klaus Weinmann, the traditional medium-sized company AL-KO GROUP successfully implemented its transformation over the following years.
